The scythe arrived after three working days, sooner than they had promised, and well packaged - the delivery man thought it was a paddle for a canoe.
There was no instruction booklet but it was simple to assemble using the small tool which came with it, consisting of a spanner and a square allen key. You can adjust the height of the lower handle but not the top handle. As I am 6ft 4ins I have chosen to raise the lower handle by a couple of inches. The allen key tightens the bolts holding the blade onto the snath (a word which doesn't seem to exist in British English, only in US English).
The blade is sturdy and cuts well once sharpened with a stone. I have used it on brambles, tussocks of coarse grass, nettles, and overgrown lawn grass. The bramble scythe is shorter and slightly heavier than my old 55cm Turk scythe, which I broke recently - I tore its 20 year old blade cutting a wild rose.
All in all I am very pleased with this scythe. And as I still like my old scythe too I will try and weld its torn blade - it seems I can't buy a blade on its own.

Seems to do the job. If you want to just cut grass then maybe a longer blade would be better - but it would probably need a bit more skill tool. This can hack through weeds etc.
The blade needs sharpening regularly - so make sure you have something to do that with.
