I bought this as a cheaper substitute for a proper scythe to take down overgrowth in the areas surrounding my allotment. However, I wish I'd bought a proper scythe now, as this little thing doesn't have the weight to go through brambles and dense long grass; whereas a proper scythe is pulled through to cut, this has to be swung, more like a sickle, and that doesn't enable full effect from the curved blade attached to a longer (than a sickle) handle.
